It had to happen sooner or later, just a matter of time really but I was hoping it would hold off a little while longer. But no, it happened today. I go to the mailbox and there it is, my invitation to join AARP. Not addressed to "Resident" or "Our Friends at" but addressed to me, personally, by name.

My first inclination is to decline the invite. I'm not a fan of their stance on many political issues, I don't need their insurance plans (retired military) and I hear you get a lot of junk mail from them once you join. I do hear they have some pretty good discounts on stuff though.

So what does VBOT think, good deal or pass?

so we dropped out some years ago, we don't like their poly ticks either...
