I have honestly heard that one as many times as " well she wasn't good enough for you."
If I could find a way to make money off my failures I could retire

This.

You're plenty young, and you've got your whole life ahead of you. Just don't think of life in terms of "I should be moved out by this age" and "I should be married by this age" and "I should have my first kid by this age" and "I should be making this much coin by this age". It just doesn't work that way.

I used to think like that, then I realized the only right way to go through life is my way, not how most people expect it to be.

I moved out at 25 (much later than I expected). I've been with my GF for 14 years, and "living in sin" for 12 of them, unmarried (you don't need a piece of paper to tell you how much to love someone, or to stick with them through good and bad). I've been at my job for 15 years, and thought it was dead end and the pay was shit. But guess what? I wasn't entitled to anything more at that time! I was 22 and just out of school. Through years of hard work and proving myself, I am very satisfied with my job now, and would have a hard time finding a better one (grass isn't always greener on other side).

Make decisions and take actions based on what you want to do, and not what others around you are doing. Have no expectations beyond your own abilities and actions.

That ship will never come in . . . you have to swim out to that sum bitch.

I have no problems going out to meet an opportunity.
I'm just through with my job at advance auto parts.
I'm runnig a store that is short handed with bosses asking for "high performance work." I've been dealing with finical aid for 3 weeks and finally get resolution.
I'm tired of ever single action I do taking an act of congress.

....Get used to it, because Entropy is right. One step forward, and two steps back.....I can sympathize with you regarding financial aid though....That is a total pain in the ass to deal with.....I do all that for my two girls.....You, however are quite late to the game, if you are just getting a resolution, now, for this school year......That crap was due a long time ago...

It'll happen.

You don't believe it now but soon enough you'll be saying those exact same words to somebody else. Funny how that works.

Give up, quit school, quit your job, become homeless and learn how to panhandle. At least you'll have a jump on the rest of us.

Get ahold of them and tell them you will work for a little more than half of what you are making now for a period of 6 months. If they like your work after the 6 months negotiate back to the pay they were offering in the first place.
Sometimes you need to do anything it takes to get your foot in the door.
You just have to hope they don't dismiss you after the 6 month period.

It may be worth a try.

Good luck Joey and keep at 'er.
