Default What I did this weekend.

Here's a couple of laps around Summit Point. I'm chasing a friend of mine in a Callaway Grand Sport.

I won't lie, A LOT of cars wreck there. But it is a great local track. The carousel is the highlight as it's pretty tight and technical.

Yea, 606 HP and he has Pfadt coilovers. So I am giving up 160 HP and suspension. I caught and passed him in 6 more laps.

Almost every video I've ever seen from there is of a wreck.

Are the spectator events like historic races, pro races, etc? I like to spend every weekend at the track whether I'm running or not.

Yes. Look at Summit Point Motorsports Park for the schedule. They have a kart track as well.

There are plenty of organizations that will rent you a race car for an event.

Just to let you know-Where I live (Gaithersburg) is an hour from the track. Frederick MD is 35 minutes from the track. Gives you an idea if you want to base your move on Summit. If you do move here, I can introduce you to a lot of local racers.

Just got back from running Summit Point last weekend, but we were at Shenandoah Circuit. Would love to try the Main.
This is me being awesome.

I like how you can see the dust cloud as they round the next turn. We are renting the track for the same weekend next year.

One of the reasons I got the Z06 was I wanted to get out on the track. Have been on the track only once.
