My dad was 43 when I (only child, very early boomer) was born!

As he was the youngest of his large family (10) and did not get married till late in life puts me in a strange relative situation.

My aunts were the first born and they got married at age 13 and their children also got married young. I have 2ed and 3ed cousins that are older than me. (were as they all have passed on)

My parents were both the youngest in their generation. My paternal GF, my only living grandparent when I was born, was born in 1870. My oldest uncle was born in 1897.

One of our aunts, DOB around 1905, was our de facto grandmother. My mom was the youngest from both sides, she died in 2002 at age 86.

FWIW: I have family pictures going back at least 100 years. My sisses and I know most of the people in them, but not all. I've scanned the more interesting ones, but the rest will probably get thrown out.

Once you get down two generations (my nieces and nephew) they have no interest in the pictures.
