I lived in Florida for 8 years and recently moved out.

Yes it’s a great place to live, no income tax, year round warm (or very hot!) weather.

Also getting very crowded, insurance is very expensive and it’s being overrun by Yankees (New York, New Jersey and Shitcago), plus the hurricane issue.

We lived on a barrier island for 4 years. During “season” (January - May) it could take 2 hours to go to Home Depot, 7 miles away. We built a new home inland, in 4 years it doubled in price. We took the money and ran, now in the mid-west close to our daughter and other family. I’m sure we’ll miss the weather and low taxes, but it’s not the utopia many make it to be. I think Lars has the best situation.
