Black and white —> 60s, maybe VERY early 70s as in the year 1970 alone

Maybe the coolest "before and after" photos I've ever seen !
I'm thinking 70's with the Gregg Allman hair styles....

Hope the guy on the left didn't nurse that beer for 50 years ..

Would have been even more cool if it was the same car in both pictures.

True, but who owns the same car for 50+ years? It could be the same car rebuilt several times over the years. It is a pretty cool set of photos.

My now deceased neighbor bought his friend's '73 Vette....they used to ride to HS together in it, and, had he not died, would still own it today. He probably had 15 or so classic cars at the high point, but that and a later acquired T-bucket were the two he enjoyed the most, the two he kept in his own garage. The others were stored in a warehouse.

Similar here. My high school bud bought this Lemans around 73 and kept it all these years. Ended up storing it for many years during a military career.

Several of us still keep in regular contact. When I went back about 10 years ago, we hooked up for lunch and showed it to me in a storage facility and was basically a pieces of shit- with plans on a restore.

About 5ish year back he did, Body off strip down to a million pieces. Did a great job and as I recall, made it into a magazine

Looks like the same car to me. Maybe some upgrades over the years like Windshield and such.

Look on the left side axle area and the curve of the brake line. Same on the right side and fender brace

Yup. He kept it all original. If it had been me, with all that work, I would have went with a 383.

My take too. I would bet 1968--1972. The flat-bottomed two piece steel with aluminum top and bottom can was of that era right before the all aluminum can came in about '75, and the clothes and hair scream '68-'72 Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. Very cool indeed, IMO. Looks like a '32 Ford.

No. He meant 383 Chevy stroker. Totally a great way to degrade a classic and rare old car. And make it like 95% of the other Sprint 6 survivors out there....just another Chevrolet V8 conversion. Yawn.

But, consider the source: Slewfoot. Who voted for Biden.

My youngest brother still has my 1975 LeMans GT, affectionally called "The Battlestar", I brought my newborn daughter home in it during one of the worst winter storms Norfolk had ever seen...

That hood is worth $$$ to anybody restoring a '73 GTO. Those cars were big boats and underpowered, but were great road cars. Still are. Very cool.
