Therapy and drugs are whole lot better than going to jail! Take it from somebody who has seen what not getting therapy and drugs can do to someone.
My best friend at work years ago was having some real problems dealing with shit his wife and kids were putting him through plus work was a bitch at the time. We working long freaking hours of OT. One day he just snapped at work, he starting tossing extension ladders off the 3rd floor of a reaction bay. He got sent home and ordered to get some help before he came back. It was 4 weeks before he came back and he was a much saner and happier person.
Another guy I know was under a shitload of pressure from the general bullshit of life, then one of his 14 year-old daughter's best friends went missing (a kid he'd known since she was a toddler). They found her raped and strangled a couple days later floating in the river.
He was taken into custody a couple of days before they caught the killer,(no he did not strangle the girl) walking down the main street of the small town crying and carrying a rifle, looking for the child killer.
It took about 4 months in the hospital before was able to come back to work. His wife told me that if he'd got some help earlier he never would have had the breakdown. This was no pansy either, he was an decorated Army combat veteran, volunteer fireman and reserve deputy sheriff.

It's been a while since i started therapy. It's been going well since the doc put me on a serenity program. When i start to get worked up, my doc has me taking a few deep breaths and repeating a small little phrase. It seems to be working now. He also suggested taking up a stress relief hobby, so i've taken up target shooting. I just visualize the things that make me angry and shoot at them. Since i've started this therapy, i've only had one small blow up.

I had to go to a few anger management seminars in order to remain employed with my current employer.

I knew I wasn't bad, especially after taking the classes.

Mostly women in my seminars. Ended up going on a few dates with one of the other attendees. She was pure, young hotness. A lawyer, daughter of the firm and her father thought she was too hard on the others.

Go with a positive attitude, you might get lucky.

BTW, the seminars sucked.
