since most of you are from the south, y'all may have never been there...but just in case anyone has...I'd appreciate some info, and feedback regarding your visit...

Been there 29 years and 9 months ago.....we made my daughter there, back then it was a bicycle island ONLY, cars not allowed, gotta have special pull to get one on the island....

stayed at the hotel, biked all over the joint, very hilly, pays to be a kid....

the ride over was uneventful, but the ride back to Orient point off Lonk Islant was rather fun, seems a blow can in from the south, and the bike ferry was nothing but a old ~60' fishing boat, with twin GM diesels on it....

so the seas were running pretty good, dead over the nose, and the boat was pitching pretty good into the waves.....

one of the gals was already preggers, the ex was just starting, so no sickness yet....well she starts tossing cookies and so goes below deck to be near the head, so her hubby stays with her, the ex stays with her brother, the hubby...so they set there smelling the puke which is pretty gross, mixed in with the noise and smell of the diesels pounding away....I get one whiff and tried to convince the 3 of them to come up topside and feel better, but NO, so they all stay, I go up topside....

the boat is taking a beating pretty good with nose going into the waves damn near under water waves washing up nice, and this crowd is on the bow, hanging onto the rail, so every time the bow goes under, pops back up, the captain in the wheel house honks the horn, and another slug off the bottle is taken by another one of the folks, it was a 1/5 of some brown liquor I forget what....so I had to pretend to take a slug when it came around to me....I would raise it but no friggin way I drinking jack diddly squat under them conditions....I hanging on pretty good....

so the 3 idiots are mad at ME for saving myself and having a good time on the trip back, like it's MY fault they stupid......

but they are all liberals, to what do you expect???

Our F&I manager is from there, and he has shown me some pictures. It is pretty awesome.
