I might. My grandma’s great uncle was an Irish immigrant fairly fresh off the boat living in Ohio when he was given the great opportunity to serve his new country in the Civil War. He practically had his leg taken off by cannon ball shrapnel and collected a disability payment for the rest of his life until he died in about 1930.

He never complained and lived a very fulfilling, and obviously long life. I guess this outcome was still preferable to what living in Ireland would’ve been like.

here today.

Wife and I both had relatives in the Civil War and my daughter is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution so there is that, but I'm white and obviously an oppressor and one of my relatives did a blackface routine back in vaudeville - so I'm going to hell for sure. That would be ancestor "Josh" Dreano on the poster...

I am already in line for mine due to my fathers side being persecuted as Irish immigrants in the late 1800's, and my Russian-Ukrainian grandmother side being enslaved in pa coal mines in the early 1900's. I look forward to cashing out.

There was a Domestic Violence report made to the police by his wife many, many years ago.
He started up the political ladder and poof, the report disappeared as well as any and all references to the run.
His daughter was on Columbus City Council and voted to defund the police.
