Cast it, maybe. Have it counted, not so much. Busloads of Mexicans showing up with pre-marked ballots (like I've heard on this very forum) ridiculous.

Tell me how you would do it. Without committing a felony.

I am not speaking of the Mexicans by the busload with ballots already filled out, but with a little information on a dead voter it wouldn't be that hard to do.

Dead voter (unless they died after the book was printed in recent weeks) wouldn't be in the book. The people who record deaths are on the same floor as the registrar of voters at the county courthouse here and they do communicate. Plus that doesn't pass the "without committing a felony" test.

Our society relies a lot on people being deterred from doing something illegal by the penalties it may result in. Your car could be stolen tonight also, but the penalty for doing that keeps just about everyone from doing it.

Here's a question I don't know the answer to. If some one gets a mail in ballot, fills it out , mails it in weeks before election day, then dies before election day, should that vote count? I bet since lots of mail in ballots are elderly people this happens a lot on a national level.

Mail-in voting is probably the least of our worries.

Yes.

Some states allow early in-person voting, so the same scenario could happen there. All that matters is that the person actually cast that vote (as opposed to a fraudster casting a vote in a dead person's name).

In my area you are given a paper ballot sit at a private booth and fill in the circle of the person for who you vote. You take the paper ballot to a scanner and feed it into the machine. The machine video screen will thank you for your vote and it keeps the ballot. So it's electronic voting with a paper ballot back up.

100% correct.
And I can assure you; I barely trust the current system, no way will I trust theses current lyin' ass crooks to do mail-in voting.

And this election is way too important to be jacking around with a new way to vote.
R's or D's, doesn't matter...show us who you are with proof you are a legal citizen here, and are totally legal to vote.
(ie, alive, not an ex-con, legal citizen, will vote once, etc...)

Same here.
No ID, just a signature comparison in the book that the election person has.
I have to sign the book.

We do like Peabody says. Address, name, plus state issued ID with address, presumably current. Don’t know what happens if no ID. No vote I guess.

Don’t like it? Don’t vote.

President Donald Trump on Thursday faced resounding, near-universal opposition from Republicans to his suggestion that the November election should be delayed due to unsubstantiated claims of mail-in voter fraud.

Trump does not have the power to unilaterally push back the date of the Nov. 3 election; only Congress holds that authority under the Constitution. Lawmakers from both parties on Thursday said they oppose delaying the election, and many Republicans in particular have touted the merits of voting by mail during the coronavirus pandemic.

Look, I and my wife are Precinct Inspectors. I'm not about to give everyone here a four class in ballot security methods used in California. The checks and balances make it virtually impossible to commit large scale voter fraud with mail in ballots. Any one who wants to contradict me and make phony claims about our voting system without any first hand knowledge of it like I have ten years of will be considered to be plainly full of shit and talking out of their ass. Have a good evening.
Phony claims about CA's voting system?

Like these?

And these?

Despite your claims of CA's voting system being robust and crazy hard to game, that's just not the case at all. You can vote without any form of ID, and people do it all the time. The vote harvesting was wildly abused in 2018 to the point that homeless people were enticed to forge signatures for a couple of cigarettes. But whatever. Judicial Watch found millions of bogus voter roll entries there and is actively fighting for their removal in federal court. Of course your state government is opposed to cleaning up their voter rolls, because they are so law abiding there (barf.)
