Sending our war ships into the SCS would definitely ramp up the situation.
Do we really wanna play poker with them when we don't have to ?
Thing is, we have to. If history has taught us anything, its worse to do nothing. Look up the reasons WWII started and see Neville Chamberlain.

While I agree that the fighters are alike, you have to also take in to account that mathematically if you are to design for thrust, lift, propulsion, aerodynamics, etc. the answer a computer will come up with is probably going to be very similar. That being said, the product my company makes is sold to China. We already assumed when we entered the contract, that it would be short term because we have no doubt it will be reverse engineered and cloned/stolen. The contract was made aggressive on our side for that reason.

He didn't call her, she called him. If I was in his position, I'd be thinking it will stir up a whole lot more shit if I refuse the call than if I take it.

I'm far from a mathematician or an engineer so I just applied the ole eye test. With that, I could be wrong but it still doesn't pass the eye test.

Those fukks are buying up US property quick like. I like the Philippine law for real estate; ya gotta be a citizen to own property. It doesn't stop it but it sure puts at least some blocking.

I love how the left jump all over this but seem to forget that Bill Clinton sent the US fleet to protect Taiwan in 1996 all after squeezing the KMT for 15 Million in contributions to the DNC.

Snowden hamstrung the NSA, then ran off to China, and then to Russia. I have no doubt that he was paid off. He was already in deep, and all China/Russia had to do was dangle a big enough cherry. The info he took them did not have to be technical, it could have been anthying that they could use to get an edge on us in any way.
If all his bullshit about him caring about the NSA spying on Americans was real, he could have easily just alerted key members of congress in secret. Or at least kept the info secret. If he was scared, he could have gone to a non-extraditing country like France. But hell no, that f'cker goes collect his paycheck from China and Russia. He is a traitor that sold out his country and needs to be shot.

Screw China. Pull manufacturing out of China and put it back on American soil.

Going to war with China is unwinnable..... Simple as that.

We can beat our chests all we want, but they are as advanced as we are, whether you want to believe that or not.

An armed conflict is not the correct answer on this one.

Agreed, we cannot beat them. The good thing is they don't care about their environment and will wipe themselves off the planet before the US ever pays them back for the money we have borrowed. Additionally, their dollar is so over inflated that their bubble will bust soon. They have built billions of dollars of infrastructure and invested in construction only to have no one that can afford to buy any of it.

At some point they are going to need us and that is when we rise back to the top.

Exactly !
Which brings us full circle to my point.
If Trump stops their imports, it will bring them to their knees.
Ya, it'll also hurt US interests for a while, but the long term gains that the US will reap are far more valuable than those temporary losses.
They'll be begging us for better trade treaty's.

Incorrect. We are part of the problem.

After the Ottoman Empire fell and Europe screwed around in the ME along with their disastrous subdivision after WWII and then the rise in oil and the money brought into the ME and the radicals using that money to stay in power and expand we stumbled along like hillbillies in Paris.

Our failure is a result of centuries of previous failures.

What we and they should have done is forced Islam to reform or die after the Ottoman Empire fell VS letting greed and lack of guts get in the way.
