Why not just recognize the fact that there are a few other people in the keys that think Just like Phil...thus making him a majority in his little world. I honestly work with somebody who thinks/agrees with Phil on almost every topic. So why not just listen to what Phil has to say and move on.

Leaders of the different religions have used god to suppress people since even before Christ died. Millions have been tortured and put to death over the centuries because they did not believe in god or Jesus or Mohammad or Abraham. I find it so absurd that after so many centuries of oppression that those of faith now think that somehow they are being oppressed or denied rights because a few us us stand up to the efforts of forcing religion on us today.

I also find it really sad that someone - who ate at Chik Fil A three times on "we hate gays day" - would be so butt-hurt when someone stands up and criticizes the faith that caused them to do that. That kind of behavior shows a complete lack of humanity and frankly, is against everything Jesus taught.

I think Gandhi said it best when he said - "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Like anything else, religion is composed of a collection of ideologies that fall along a spectrum.
