It happened near the exit for S. Wayside around midnight, according to police.
It all started when a driver clipped one of the couches while passing by. He stopped his vehicle and got out to inspect what he had hit. Another driver swerved to miss the man and failed to notice his car stopped further down the freeway, police said. The second driver hit the first driver’s car, which police said had its lights off.
No serious injuries were reported.
Police said the first driver who stopped his car was at-fault for the crash.
