I'll have you know I graduated first in my SEAL Team swim/coding class, and can gnaw the front foot off an angry moose while writing a Python script. And that's using an old iPad while wearing mittens.

Killing a job and not getting compensated for it would be seen by peers as inane and futile. Normal employees don't just take up space, they keep the country running.
