Default Pink concert

I've become more and more set in my ways and committed to my likes and dislikes the older I get. Less likely to do something new or unpredictable. More likely to keep the same furniture, same wall color, same same same. Every now and then something will come along while I've had a drink or two, that I agree to and then wish I hadn't when the day comes. I committed to go to New Orleans to visit a buddy of mine and his wife. He then tells me we are going to see Pink in concert. What? Pink? Why? Well, I agreed and flew in to NOLA for the weekend. Now I don't dislike Pink, I'm not a fan either. I am simply aware of her. We had seats in a suite. Comfy chairs, close to the bar and bathrooms. Meh, this could be cool. Let me tell you, I was blown away. What a performer. Strong voice, strong personality. A no BS person that knows how to entertain. It was truly an awesome show. She is a powerhouse vocally and physically. Acrobatics, videography, dancing, sound quality...all of it impressive as hell.

If you get the opportunity, go see her. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for sure.

A number of times in my life I've been talked into going to musical performances that were way outside the envelope of music I usually listen to. It's most always been a good experience at least, and at best it's opened up whole new genres of music to me. I have come to believe that any big name professional touring act is going to be pretty darn good and worth spending an evening seeing.

I was introduced to Pink, through my daughters, as they grew up.
I must agree with you. She is a very talented entertainer.

I’ve kinda taken a different approach in my senior years. I’m open to just about anything. I figure if something is popular or well-liked by a lot of people, there must be something to it. Usually there is. One exception though...kite surfing. I nearly killed my damned self trying that. Some stuff I’m just too old to do with anything approaching competence.

My wife loves Pink, I'll have to keep an eye out and see if she ever performs near here.

Back in the 60's and 70's I didn't really care for the music of Elvis Presley. In 74 he was coming to Dayton for a show at UD Arena. My mom bought tickets for her my dad , me and my girl friend. Didn't what to go but had to. Now I am glad I did because he put on a good show.

I also saw Elvis at UD arena; but I'm thinking it was more like 1976 ??? He may have toured there multiple times. It was an excellent show !
