Default How I spent my Saturday
Hot laps at Talladega during the Vettes for Vets track day.

Think my 70 was the oldest Vette that drove on the track. I hit 115 a couple of times and others in my group got up to around 140.

There was a pace truck out front and another at the rear with 15 cars in the group. The idea is that everyone maintains about the same speed but it doesn't really happen since you can drop back and then punch it to get higher speeds.

The claim was that the pace truck couldn't go over 90 but I was the first car for our 2nd run and I don't think I ever went below 100mph for the entire run of 5 laps.

Awesome! I've been wanting to this for past couple of years. When I found out that my next project was going to be in Nashville, I was stoked. Then I found out that this year they were running on Memorial Day weekend instead of July 4th weekend.
