Default Don't lower your car more than "lowered on the stock bolts" height...

Don't feel like typing up a long post, so long story short if you lower the car too much it will overly compress the shock reducing travel and taking it out of it's optimal operating range. Result is you'll be in the bump stops on anything but nice smooth roads. Around here nice roads are few and far between.

I always had my Z06 lowered about 1" over stock w/o issue... well w/ the vert when I put the Z06 bits on I decide to loewr it more than my Z06... I've been raising it little by little ever since... finally tonight I put it up another 1/2 back to "lowered on stock bolts" height and it's like a 100% new car... everything is improved.... amazing what happens when you're not getting into the bump stops.

Now if you get custom shocks or coil-overs then you're good to go.... just trying to save some folks the trial/error of slamming a C5 on relatively stock components.

Brian,

I noticed the same thing. I lowered it all the way on c6 fronts and longer rears it was like a rock. I since put it up 3/4 and added Bilstein sports and it rides like a Cadilac!

I have those wheels at my house you can come get them this weekend if your not busy!

Yeah man... I had the same setup.... C6 aftermarket up front and longer oens in the rear. I went back the stockers in the back and then cranked the fronts up to where I need them.

I'll be in touch on the wheels.

My cure was Coil Overs and I can go as high or low as I want without any issues, our Vettes should come with CO from the factory
