one thing in favor of a revolver (over a semi-auto)... is that it does not leave spent brass at the scene

About the only revolvers that are selling well now are the small self defense types. This is not a good time to bring out a revolver! Most everybody is going with bottom feeders, and if your state allows it the high capacity types. (my state NY does not)
I have a fondness for the circle gun and I just enjoy the workmanship and looks of a good revolver more that a Auto gun. I hit the gun stores often and a couple online forums and have picked up a few nice ones. Most I find are trade ins on S Autos. Most gun dealers I go into and I go into a bunch(being retired helps) have a ratio of about 50% new S. Autos 30% used semis and 20% revolvers both new and used With that said both my carry guns are S Autos (bodyguard 380, XDs.45) IF Kimber is bringing out a revolver good luck to them and do not be like S&W and screw them up with that politically correct stupid internal locking bullshit! All my revolvers are lock free ,pinned with most made in the 70s and 80s! |

I tried to open their site a few times today and it kept timing out.
Looks cool but not sure it is $900 cool.

I can home build a 1911 which will perform and look as well as any Kimber for 2/3 the price. They manufacture a good product, they are just not quite on par with those Smiths who hand fit guns one at a time.

I'm with Mark, I'll gather parts and have my gunsmith friend Ray verify my fitment. He worked magic on my Springfield 1911 A1 for not much money |

I worked magic on my Springfield 1911 A1 clone for short money via Brownell's catalog and some well spent hours at the bench. A couple books and some time on the forums yielded a 2.5 inch at 25 yard gun I still miss since the sinkhole ate my collection.

Thin? How thin? Thinner than a S&W 640? The cylinder would be the only reason that I don't carry the 640 all the time, as it's "fat" at that juncture. And ya, it's way overpriced. Smooth looking piece though. |
