BTW @Old Ben,

Porter called bitching as I signed him up to help ya an he can’t move a wheel barrow etc.. I told him I would send a little red wagon for him to use…..

then came the shovel being to big…. Told him I’d get him a sandbox bucket and scoop

So he’ll show up planning to play at the pool wearing swimming trunks, sand bucket sets. etc. You have to get to do something then Looks like I got him there for ya……

Dentist for a quick repair..
Had to go to three stores to get groceries. (Thanks to you know who)
Thing came over while mom went to dentist.
Cable thingie broke on back door of J’s truck so thing and I assisted.
Made lunch.
More assisting.
Wood putty on corn hole game J is building for thing.
J and sons picked up a free tractor.
Mil decided she needed some items from sam’s.
Made chili.

Traffic wasn't too bad this morning, schools are closed today. Just dumb luck. Probably a mental health day...
Other than alignments this will be first time in 15 plus years anyone but me has worked on any of my cars (windshield replacement today).
Friend's son had hours cut to 2 days a week couple weeks ago, they make appliances and can't get parts from overseas. Bet that new car payment blows now as he never saves a nickel.

Friend on way for radiation treatment for suspected liver cancer this morning, I should have been there but too much happening this week here. One shot deal this time then reevaluate after 2 or 3 months. Hopefully shrinks whatever the nodules are and liver starts to heal quicker. He's in a good place mentally at least as he knows it could be alot worse treatments. The couple hours setting things up on a table will kill his back unfortunately and I know he'll be sick for a day or two from treatment but hopefully nothing more than being nauseated which he is alot now anyway so... We shall see.
Think I'm way more worried than he is... Wish I didn't have to drive later or I'd be Rikki drunk already.

That's a lesson that's hard to get through to alot of kids/people...
Trying to get son go set aside most of his pay now since he's living at home and has almost zero expenses. He's been eyeing expensive toys like latest phones and games. I may have to slap him.. That or I'm charging him rent as roddo gotta get paid first if hehas that kind of money.
I had a 200 dollar car at his age and when it broke down walking to work sucked in the winter especially. I learned right quick to keep extra money around after that.

Charge him rent so he knows what it's like in the real world. Put the money aside and give it to him at the right time down the road. Much better strategy than letting him live there free.
