Over 1000 Toys, and many shoes and slippers given away, Baby Formula, and we also gave food to the school for their small Christmas party.

We also cooked up a lot of food for Christmas Eve and Day and fed a lot of people.

And we still have some more Toys that will be sent back to Cebu with our Family to take care of the 28 kids on Caimito Street.

We still have some funds left that will go towards even more rice, shoes and slippers for the kids, and also I asked Rob to hold back the checks that have come in for an emergency fund in case someone needs some medicine or medical help.

There still may be a few more checks that came in since Rob and I last spoke, I will update this if so.

As mentioned before, Rob will be back again for next year, and also hoping that some more of you can make it for this in 2016.

There are no words that can describe seeing the Joy that we bring to these kids for that one special day of the year...

Thank you all!!! very very much!!!

Tim you should have Rob convert them to cash. Some banks/companies do not honor them after a certain amount of time. Easier to transfer to you by other means with the cash on hand. So glad the Christmas was good for all the kids.

I'm sure he has deposited anything he has received.. It's not a lot, but may come in handy in time later.

If it's not needed this year it can go towards next year.. If it is needed its only two days away by transfer. and if an emergency came up.. I would find a way to cover it till then.

We will wait to see, but if for sure he is coming next year, and can be here early enough for the shopping.. we would actually be money ahead to send direct to Rob as we would get a better exchange on the dollar if he brought cash instead.. instead of us paying the online Paypal exchange rates that hit us for at over 1 point less that what we could get.

I averaged about 45.5/1 this year through PP.. so example.

$2706.23 X 45.5 = 123,133P

$2706.23 X 46.5 would have been more than 125,839

About $60 or more that could have been put to better use.. than giving it to Paypal

No hangovers for the toy giveaway, though.

If you want to do a rice cooker for Christmas next year, maybe you can just tell me what you want and I can bring it with me.
Just noticed this... and we're good on that as we can get them here, but I'd sure love to try some of your chicken curry..

Hard work? heck it's fun to do! Rob really wants to get in on the shopping part himself.

When we did a small shopping for the Caimito Street Kids he was so slow and choosy..

Myself I just go down the isle and pick out Toys I like.... and say I'll take them all!!!

Now and then my web hosting is down, but not for long usually, lots of pics posted...

I'll make you guys some Japanese curry. Definitely. Quadruple batch, so we can feed extended family, too.

I'll order the roux from Amazon and have it delivered. I'd bring it, but customs may not allow it.

As long as it is in your checked baggage no one will look, and even if they did.. here no one would care, it's common for people to bring back import foods in their Balikbayan boxes.

Looking forward to you and your daughter making it over here next year!

Bring NOX with you too!
