Default 2 Years 5 Months........
It has been 2 years and 5 months to the day that I was let go from Big Blue (IBM). I am now more than happy to say that I have accepted a full time position starting after the first of the year!!!!!!!! No more "I'm unemployed/retired/still looking" crap!

There were alot of factors delaying this event; not the least of which is the incredible job market here in southwest Ohio (/sarcasm). I have the type of position I want, in a great field with growth potential, and only 11 minutes from home.

Now the big question: how soon before I order my C7?

Congrats! That's a long time to be out of the game.

End of January will be two years since I was let go, and I'm still successfully fielding my own business and staying pretty busy, thankfully.

I got lucky in that one and found a great engineering role that came available right as I started looking but in general... yea. It's rough out here.

Congrats!

We were told Friday that part of what I do was bought by IBM. I was like... wait.. what!? They sold off our managed hosting services(managed servers/network). That's like 50% of my job. They said I won't be affected, but I don't believe them.

We do use IBM servers here and there, but mainly HP. I guess that might be changing.

Not quite sold on the new yellow yet. I need to see it in person. Was actually thinking about the Night Race Blue.

that new Yellow, first for 2016, has a unique tinted clear-coat. It costs extra, but WOW !!!

Congratulations to the OP. I hope it's everything you wanted.

Today is exactly one year since I was laid off. Within days of me letting my contacts know three of the biggest competitors came looking for me, offered me jobs and told me they wanted me to start in March/April. Each and everyone went into a nosedive in terms of revenue and all pushed it out indefinitely.

My golf game has gotten better and my tan is great. I'll keep trying next year.
