I know. I hate doing that kind of work with the bullet already in the car.

rough guess is fine, obviously.....
Gene, do you have any grandkids that might want to collect coins? You can buy a set of Lincoln penny Whitman coin folders for cheap and introduce someone to an interesting hobby.

Doh... reading is fundamental. I thought Gene had "mostly pennies" at the bottom of the jug. Didn't catch the only pennies from the title.

Only pennies, I have no idea as to quantity but it sure ain't 150k

More like 20k pennies or so, from my experience.

Thanks Scott but I'm solid. I have spares 5 deep, for just such an emergency.
I just wanted to give Gene something familiar to talk about .

I have an old milk jug (10 gallon size) from an old dairy. It is full of coins that I have tossed into it over the years. You can't budge the thing, it's so heavy. I would also guess most of the coins are quarters, dimes, and nickels. Even if I could get it to my bank they won't process all the coins in it. I would have to take them in little by little.

I think I also have some WW2 steel pennies. They converted to steel production for awhile.
