So now I have to replace the motor....
It has been a couple of years. Summary:
1984 C4 looks like I hydro locked the motor results bent connecting rod. See this thread: http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...-question.html I am going to replace the motor. I am thinking of: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...&storeId=10001 I think it is a direct bolt in, except maybe the distributor? But as I look around I am wondering if I should just bite the bullet and upgrade the stock motor. I would like to keep the budget around 2K. And I am pretty sure that I have already spent that with the stock replacement, but what are your thoughts. The budget is based mostly on the condition of the overall car. Needs paint work, needs interior work. And it is an automatic... The plan is just to make a fun and reliable cruiser. Yes this was already posted on CF.... hope I dont get banished.... What I have going for me is I have done this before with MGBs and have most tools to do the job. Only things I am missing are an engine hoist. And a willingness to get in over my head |
