The Queen was a Car Gal
Who knew?
I heard the other day that she was a trained mechanic and, in her younger days, would dive under the hood to fix whatever was wrong (most likely something to do with the Lucas electrical system) when the family car broke down. https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/q...oring-monarch/ Take care, Steve |

Who'd have thunk it?
While it does nothing to temper my contempt for aristocracy, this story does tilt my perspective a bit on this singular lady. Thanks for sharing, Steve. Live well, SJW |

I agree with you, Steve. We fought a war so we didn’t have to pay any attention to the “Royals” anymore. This little tidbit was interesting, though. I wonder if she could have fixed my Bugeye Sprite?

I actually always felt sorry for her as I don’t think she was really interested in being the Queen but didn’t really have a choice. Those people live under a microscope.
