Colonial Downs Corvette Gathering...June ***Sign up extended until 18 Jun 10***

Colonial downs is offering to host a "gathering" of corvettes, all ages, on June 19 in New Kent, Virginia. We would get admission and billing and VIP group parking immediately beside the grandstand. I'm meeting with them next week to further discuss options/arrangements. This is one of their premier race days AND live bands / micro-brewery stuff ! You can go on line and review activities already planned for that day....This would NOT be a car show...jusa a showing of our cars and a hell-of -a get together !!! PM me asap your thoughts about the date/activities etc. ONE negative...any cars comming to park in the select VIP ares must arrive before the first race and stay 'till the last. that would be roughly from 11:30 to 5:30. Gene As of April 27 we are a go for this event and they would like 60-70 cars if we can muster up that many and any registration fee we acess ourselves would be 100% to a known charity There is a "Bike" show there the same day and we can piggy-back registration/charity with them.

I tend to stay out of New Kent county (unless i'm in a group of Corvettes) after my 2 run-ins with Officer Rainey.

I don't need a 3rd reminder that my 35% tint is illegal in Va.

I've never done Colonial Downs, and have always wanted too. The Date is a little too far out for me to make a commitment, but I'm defiantly interested.

Well, I know how my day is SUPPOSED to go tomorrow, but there is no telling how it will actually go down.

It sounds fun, and would be a cool caravan up there, but it is still too far out to commit.

June 19.. IS A GO for a Vette outting. Go to www. Colonial Downs.com and click on activities / events to see what is going on at the track. There will be micro-brew tasting [ 25 different ones ], the band Soular Eclipse, four international flair food venders and the races will be the half million dollar purse Colonial Derby, You will have "special" parking near the rails so you can bring your own chair/tent/blankets and stay with the car or walk a few feet to sit in AC, et.al. Will POAST more info in late April ref . reg/directions. Gene
