I wish they would sleep normal hours. They are still not adjusted to time here so they are waking up at midnight and wanting to watch tv and play games on the iPad.

Other than the time change, how are they adjusting to first world living? Air conditioning? Washer and dryer in the home? Having their own car? Trip to the grocery store? Mall? Target? Walmart? I'm looking forward to the "I'm teaching my wife how to drive thread."

Funny you mention this the girl I'm dating has been here from Cuba about 1.5 years and I get a laugh at things she ask that we take for granted. This is like teaching a little kid. At restaurants before she does anything she always asks if it is proper to do this or to do that. I tell her that in the US it is proper to fart and pick her nose at the table but somehow she does not believe me... I'm yet to get into the car with her driving my one nerve that is left cant take it and the fear of dying is there. She was a school teacher for 18 years and taught English and Spanish but she is 80% on the English. If I speak to fast I'm talking Chinese to her.. She has been the best amusement for me in a long time keeps me laughing.

They are enjoying things so far. We did go out and get a burger for lunch the other day so they were amazed at the size of the burger. However, they said they were freezing in the restaurant so we didn't stay long and took everything home to eat.

I think she got 4 meals out of the one burger.

We did hit WalMart one day last week for some things like toothpaste and shampoos. She was amazed at the size of the place but that was all she said about it.

We have not done grocery or mall yet - but this weekend I am taking them shopping to buy them some clothes and shoes so that they have more variety in their wardrobe.
