Teen Idol Corey Haim Dies at 38 - omg! news on Yahoo!

I disagree. History has shown us too many times that young child actors careers rarely continue on into adulthood. When they are young, cute, and the darlings of the media their careers skyrocket but once the child grows out of that stage the entertainment industry has no use for them anymore. Addiction is terrible. Take it from someone who knows. I have been WAY down the road before. I have been addicted to some of the worst and most addictive substances known. Believe me when I say a thousand dollar a week habit is hell.

Ummm, this might sound harsh, but WGAFF??

We put celebrities and athletes on pedestals for no good reason. Hundreds of people OD every day without all the fanfare. What makes this guy any less of a ordinary dumbass as the rest?

I've seen many people just not get it. I've facilitated a number of interventions in the last 22 years and the fact is only about 5% of people maintain sobriety. The rest usually continue to go downhill.
