I propose we trade in "Shit" for "F*uck"
"Shit' is such a ....shitty word, anyway. Can't we all live without it, particulary if we're allowed to say F*ck? F*uck has soooo many useful applications! Sometime no other word can convey what we're really feeling. Shit, on the other hand, is just a throw-away word, to me a word used by the inexpert cusser, a high school "bad" word. Think about it: If you accidentally hit your thumb with a hammer, do you say, "Shit!"? Of course not--you say, "F*ck! Holy f*cking Mother of Jesus!". "Shit" is something you say if you say if your dog pisses on the rug--it's a word used for minor irritations in life, not for the truly important shit...I mean stuff.
It would be ideal to be able to use both words here, of course, but I'm trying to make a palatable trade-off with the Mods/Administrators. We want to keep them happy, don't we? [Say "Yes!".] Now, given the choice between the two words, wouldn't you pick "F*uck" any day? |

Completely disagree, the F word is special in that it still has some shock value. Overuse has lessened that, which is a shame. Used on rare occasion, it makes one wake up and pay attention, either written or spoken.
