The Lexington Brewing Company had a nice little microbrewery tour. Their Bourbon Barrel Ale is killer.

There are distillery tours at Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve that aren't far. They aren't the Maker's Mark deal we did, but they aren't bad.

The Red Mile has harness racing, but I don't know when their meet is.

The Kentucky Horse Park is cool.

As for horse farms - Claiborne out in Paris, Winstar and Three Chimney all had nice tours.

If I'm in that area again, my to-do list is:

Mill Springs
Munfordville
Perryville

Cool, except I live in Louisville. Worlds apart from Lexington and their basketball-crazed blue-bloods.

Town Branch Distillery is in downtown Lexington, Woodford Reserve is a 20-30 Min drive and probably the most beautiful distillery and great tour....Lexington Brewing was already mentioned and there is West Sixth Street Brewery....what are you doing in lexington and how long are you going to be here?

I'm doing a systems deployment for a client and I'm scheduled to be here until Friday though I think I'll be able to finish this up and get out of town tomorrow night if everything goes well.

If you check out any of the girlie bars, don't be suprised to see a whole lot little, short guys hanging out. They're not movie extras, just a bunch of jockey's admiring the entertainment.

Dude, there isn't ANYTHING in Munfordville that would remotely interest anyone. Maybe you're thinking of Cave City and Mammoth Cave?

OP: Check out Keenland and the horse racing museum. The statue (life size) of Man-O-War will blow your mind. That horse was HUGE!
Other than that, there really isn't that much to do in Lexington. Unless you're into hot little college chicks. And LOTS of 'em.
