about a year ago i added some 4x6 posts to the guesthouse deck, sistering with the existing 6x6s, to better support the beams where there was a joint (half lap). and of course, i had some cutoffs as not all of them needed the full 8 foot length. this is from one of those cutoffs. basically scrap wood to me. so with about 90 minutes of effort, now i have a cool little bowl. i'll stain it tomorrow, and then add 2-3 coats of polyurethane this week. i think i'll use Gunstock as the stain. nice medium dark color.
