First pricked up my ears during a stay in Santa Barbara while listening to the bedside radio one night. They were iinterviewing a UFO "experiencer" & astonished me in the well-reasoned, tolerant questioning approach the host was taking. Up to then all I had heard or seen was ha-ha! joke joke, ridicule of the whole subject.

The show was of course CoastToCoast & I subscribed to it when I got home in order to get the podcasts. I found much of their stuff of no interest (eg ghost stories) & too fanciful, but the whole UFO sibject was enlightening. Interviewees ranged from abductees to authors of well-researched books. (No longer subscribe - they refused my card anyway since it's non-US)

Added to that came a US show on UK TV called "Sightings" which was like "60 minutes" in that it had 3 segments - usually UFOlogy, ghosts, and one other. Good re-enactments and always first-hand eyewitnesses.

Finally the UK Daily Mail ran a serialisation of Nick Pope's book "Open Skies Closed Minds" which really got my attention. Pope was a MOD (Ministry of Defence) official who, in keeping with MOD policy got rotated into a new post every 2 years. One year he got the "UFO Desk" which his colleagues treated as something of a joke, but he determined to look into every file objectively, and realised that there was no joke involved, and the book was the result.

Today, I don't take much interest in the subject as I've pretty much hit the glass ceiling beyond which there's no information (their motivations, their intentions, their propulsion systems..).

Have a few books on my shelf such as "The Day after Roswell" by Col. Philp Corso & a few by the excellent researcher Timothy Good who previously was a professional violinist with the London symphony Orchestra.

One case that stands out in Good's "Need To Know" is the "Varghina Case" where a crash in Brazil results in a surgeon being summoned to a hospital for a "special surgery". He fiinds everyone there in a state of fear and the military all over the place, then discovers the patient, with a broken tibia, is an alien, fixes the break using just local anaesthetic, is amazed at the subsequent speed of healing he witnesses, and then gets the alien's eyes (which he'd been avoiding) fixed on him, while a "huge mass of information was downloaded" telepathically into his brain.

Suffered hedaches for weeks afterwards, and refused to divulge what he had been "told" apart from three things the creature imparted.

1) On his home planet he woild never have been taken to such a "hospital". They can heal themselves by mental/spiritual power either individually or using a group.

2) The feel sorry for human beings, because humans have the same mental abilities as their own race, including healing and telepathy, but humans don't realise this.

3) They feel sorry for humans also because humans are separated from their spiritual nature, living their lives unaware that they are in essence spiritual beings.


The creature apparently died a few days later.

As for the old chestnut "Einstein's speed of light limitation", such people are stuck on Einstein's Special Thoery of Relativity 1905; they should look into his later paper "General Relativity 1915) where he reveals that strong gravitational fields warp space and time.
