There is a lot to do in this old dump. And it will cost money. Please find me eight cheap 8’ sliding glass doors. We knew that going in and I can handle a fair amount of it myself. I like doing fixer upper stuff. That will keep me busy. My vision is to restore it to its original, unique 1970s glory.

I like it here. Best of both worlds, big city amenity crap when needed and historic 200 year old crap and associated charm.

When we were first in central PW county, it seemed the same. The amoeba that is DC/NoVA just continues to expand, and leaves no ground untouched. Get the place ready and just wait for the wave when the blue line comes across the Occoquan. I'm guessing that will boost values by 20% or so

We are a solid 30 miles from Occoquan. Traffic is a bitch as ever. I don’t have to deal with it. Been teleworking and I take a train and sleep. But it’s growing here too. Right down the road. It’s unavoidable. The good thing is they will never encroach upon our neighborhood. We made sure of that with the city. The values are increasing accordingly. I’ll take it.
