While either would be great rides. I’ve always wanted to fly a FW- 190 D.
But, that’s just me.

There is one group that is flying this year and you can buy a $$$$ Mustang flight. You can't buy a F-22 flight.

Uncle was a P-38 pilot in the Pacific. I could listen to his stories all day long. Some are in the history books. He took my aunt up in one that had all the old radio equip. removed and she hated it. LOL

Most of the remaining P-51's have had the TF conversion to make them two seats. Once the huge stock radio rack is removed, there's plenty of room behind the pilot for a seat and dual controls if wanted.

There's a least a few two seat versions of the F-22 out there also. Of those two the F-22 gets my vote, as long as Max Moga is flying it.

There's not actually. That's a photo shop pic. No such thing as a 2 seat F-22.

late 80s / early 90s I was racing go karts. One of the guys was Naval Reserve and they had a P-51 in his squadron. He "missed" the races one Sunday to be at The Reading PA air show.

He promised that when he took out the P-51, he'd "buzz the track".

He did go over the track at about 500 feet. The roar from the engine was extremely impressive ( and would be scary as hell if you were the enemy).

After he went over the track, he applied throttle and climbed. He then "nosed over" and was ready to a proper buzzing of the track. As he started the dive, my former FIL saw what he was going to do and started to run but quickly stopped while muttering "I'm fucked"

He buzzed the track at about 75 to 100' and the poor ladies in the scoring stand had no idea what was happening as their backs were towards the plane until he roared over.

He gained altitude and went back to the air show.

That F-4 is incredible.

I also wouldn't mind a ride in a Thunderchief.

I'd like to fly in one of these. My dad flew them in the late 50s In the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

In 1992, I was working on a program at Edwards AFB in California doing a re-fit of the avionics suite for the B1-B. We split our time between the flight line at Edwards and a facility off-base in Palmdale known as U.S. Air Force Plant 42. There are several military contractors there. The B1 Pilot for our program was a LtC from Dyess AFB in Abilene. Forgot his name, but he was a real cowboy. Hysterically funny.

He'd tell us when he was going to do "touch-and-go's" at the plant and we'd go sit at the end of the runway to watch. Anyone who's seen that knows that probably the only aircraft louder on takeoff than a B1 is the SR-71. Every time, he'd bank hard right and intentionally fly over the Northrop parking lot to set off the car alarms. Over and over again. Us contractors and the Rockwell guys would pee in our pants laughing when we'd see the Northrop guys out there giving him the finger.

Good times in the High Desert.

That was the other reason that I didn't book that flight! Ended up flying a 747, in first class, to Amsterdam.

F-22, have been an admirer of that air frame for some time now.
I actually had an opportunity to touch one. There's one hanging over me every day.

That could very well be Shopped. I was at the first public flight of the F-22 at Edwards and got to talk to the test pilots for the program for over an hour. At the time they said a two seat version was planned for some limited roles. It was after that the program was killed as the F-35 was searching for money for their program, so it's a good chance it never happened.

Since everybody is listing aircraft not mentioned in the original post, I'll throw in the aircraft I most wanted a flight in was Griffon-powered Superstang "Precious Metal". If the cameras behind the pilot were taken out and weight added to the nose I could fit there, but only 3 people have ever flown it and rides will never happen in it.
