Just a damn shame! Owner got hit rear ended then pushed into the car in front of him…. When he woke, the car in the front had left the scene and the guy from the rear had insufficient insurance….It is a real BB 427/390 4sp with its original drive train…..what would you offer?

It is now the automotive industry norm, for both mechanical and body work, to charge an hourly rate in excess of what the chief cardiovascular surgeon at a major hospital is paid.

Not exactly the same, buy my next door neighbor is getting quotes to gut and replace all things in the master bath, probably 15' X 15' area.
He has quotes as high as $63K.
He was quoted $23K for labor only.
I have to do mine, I can get tiles, two vanities, soaker tub, new shitter, sinks & faucets, mirrors for under $15K, I can do demo myself, my total cost with labor will be under $25K, and it will top notch.

Maybe you and GTO DOOD can get together for the restoration.

Here in Floriduh, Clay Co. anyway, the min liability coverage on your car policy is only 10k bux......witch covers the cost of a bumper today......

I didn’t want to pry too deep…. I really don’t know the true details of the who’s and what’s of the insurance situation. But I do know once he hands over the title it goes, Salvage Title and he collects 43k!

Huge project. I’m looking for a good thing to waste some time on… this car is sitting outside on my daily route, it just kills me see it getting even worse.

I would take that on for $12k , the parts alone are worth that .
Knowing that the damage prevents it from ever getting full resale value ,
I would do a DIY bare bones repair & enjoy driving it hard as a muscle car instead of a show queen .

With a Salvage Title? You’re then stuck with it, hard to resell.

Love those early chrome bumper C3's. Had several of those.. Sucks that it got wrecked. I personally wouldn't buy a C3 that needs body work as I would have to pay a shop to do the body work and that won't be cheap.
