You CAN. Show me statistical Analysis in any community, NOT wearing masks where COVID numbers were elevated, that resulted in fewer cases, fewer hospitalizations, lower mortality rate etc. Show me proof they do not work and I won’t feel people are stupid and selfish for not wearing them.

Let me know if you can find that
In about a week I'm guessing I can show you one. The ONE caveat is that at the same time the two weeks has transpired, it is also after the flushing out of the impact of the protests so the coincidental timing could prove me wrong. I am going to predict Houston numbers will still be on the rise even though we have a mandatory mask order, a paid Karen Brigade snitch force, and business being fined and/or shut down for letting anyone in without a mask.

If our numbers don't drop in about 8 days, it will be absolute PROOF that masks don't do shit. Masks literally EVERYWHERE and no one getting in any business without them. This was dictated to us on the 2nd. 14 days is the 16th and I am allowing a bit of overflow for late transmissions. This is a test of the entire mask theory LIVE. If you force everyone to wear them and we STILL see a rise, then it's not working.
I live in a much smaller town and there's only 60,000 people in the whole county, so I can't compare where I live to where you do, but here are our current numbers:https://lake-co-ca-coronavirus-respo...ub.arcgis.com/

We locked down in early March and we're opening things up now. We've had pretty good compliance with the mask thing and no one has been fined. Police are only using verbal warnings, and as they put it, they take the opportunity to educate people. Scroll down in my link and look at the numbers for cases by age group. Only six cases for people over 65. And we are very heavily weighted on our elderly population. And probably because they have more reason to worry about catching the virus, my observation is that group is the most compliant on the mask thing. Plus, it's of course easier to stay home if you are already retired and don't have to go to work. People of working age have far more cases.

Whoa there partner. Medical “experts” keep saying masks are to protect other people, not the mask wearer. They can’t be wrong, or just guessing, can they?

Yes, but some of the stores are having early morning "senior hours" That's when I do most of my shopping. So just about everybody is wearing masks. I also live in an over 55 neighborhood. Seniors here have always tended to congregate with each other. And places where we would congregate with younger people, like high school sports events, gyms, casinos, coffee shops, bars etc. have all been closed until recently. Even boating on the lake was prohibited for awhile.

There could be lots of reasons why the numbers are what they are. And we are a small population vs a big city. That alone could be part of the reason things are the way they are. They've tested a little over 5,000 people here, and so far just a little over 100 positive. That's a very low positivity rate compared to most of the large cities.

I know of no person who doesn't have the decency to turn their head and sneeze in to a sleeve or at least their hand. EVEN IF a sneeze sneaks up on you. If someone in a store rears back and blows a full on sneeze on me, they are going to get my can of Goya beans right in their skull. It's a ignorant thing to do WITHOUT a virus going around.

We've been masked up here in Jersey for months. How did that work out for us?

Ahhh yes. Gotta love (and trust) these "experts".

https://www.dailywire.com/news/nbc-v...ign=benshapiro

NBC Virus Expert Who Claimed He Had ‘Undiagnosed’ COVID-19 Reveals He Never Had Virus

NBC medical expert Joseph Fair, who has appeared on the network nearly a dozen times since the COVID-19 pandemic began sweeping across the U.S., offered a horrific tale about the virus.

According to Fair, he caught the virus while on a commercial flight from New Orleans. “I had a mask on, I had gloves on, I did my normal wipes routine … but obviously, you can still get it through your eyes,” Fair in May told the “Today Show,” directly, via video link from his hospital bed. “And, of course, I wasn’t wearing goggles on the flight.”

In another appearance the next month, Fair told NBC’s Chuck Todd on “Meet The Press” that the virus was “the worst I’ve ever felt. I probably spent 23 out of 24 hours in bed.”

“I don’t have any of those underlying conditions, I’m 42 years old. So you wouldn’t think, clinically, that I would be one of those people that would get so very ill,” Fair said, adding: “Those people that are young and think they’re invincible or people that just don’t think it’s going to affect them that greatly even if they do get it. I can say that my own experience was the complete opposite.”

“I was a very healthy person. I exercise five to six days a week,” he said. “If it can take me down, it can take down anybody.”

The only problem: Fair never had COVID-19, at least according to several test results.

“What Fair, Todd, and NBC News didn’t tell the audience is that before he made this claim, Fair had already tested negative for COVID-19 at least five times,” Inside Sources reports. “Fair followed that up with an antibody test to detect if he’d ever had the virus. The results were negative.”

“And now we know Dr. Fair never had coronavirus, despite nearly a dozen appearances on NBC and MSNBC where he talked about having it or recovering from it,” media watchdog Steve Krakauer writes in his Fourth Watch newsletter.

In the end, NBC’s viewers were left with two very alarming — and false — impressions. First, that an expert virologist can take every precaution but can still catch COVID-19 through his eyes. False. Second, that tests can be so untrustworthy that you can have multiple negative tests and still have coronavirus. [Today co-host] Craig Melvin described them as ‘false negative tests’ in that initial report on May 14. Hoda Kotb said, ‘every time it came back negative, but clearly you have it.’ False.

Fair took to Twitter last week to try to explain.

“My undiagnosed/suspected COVID illness from nearly 2 months ago remains an undiagnosed mystery as a recent antibody test was negative. I had myriad COVID symptoms, was hospitalized in a COVID ward & treated for COVID-related co-morbidities, despite testing negative by nasal swab,” he wrote in a post.

“I was severely ill for 2 weeks, 4 days of it in critical condition, resulting in pneumonia, diffuse lung injury & 18lbs of weight loss. My path forward is a 2nd AB test, & follow-up with a pulmonologist & tropical medicine specialist in an effort to diagnose what made me so ill,” he wrote.

Well, there's plenty of other places in my state that aren't doing so well, that's for sure. I'm not sure if it will stay this way, or the worst is yet to come.

I will say this, when I lived in Silicon Valley I got the flu almost every year, usually several times. Since I moved here about 30 years ago, I've had the flu three times. I have been getting a flu shot for the last five years, but only because we have to to be a volunteer at the hospital. We are somewhat isolated here. We border Napa county on their north, and there are only three two lane highways over mountain passes to get in and out of here. A few people do commute to larger cities, but for the most part, except for some tourism very few people come and go from here. We only have a small private aviation airport, and days go by with anyone using it.

I figure it this way. If you walk into a Walmart in Silicon Valley, you are probably around people who were in five different countries yesterday. Not like that here. No busloads of people arriving at our casinos. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get hit hard here.

Sounds beautiful. We were in Napa/Sedona a couple of years ago. Gorgeous!

I think Oklahoma’s issue is, a lot of the citizens are in denial and the leaders are not promoting masks, YET. That is rumored to change soon. Slim~E and I were comparing state numbers. We have a relatively high mortality rate. Possibly due to our demographics; lots of HTN, DM, COPD and obesity

Also a high % of Hispanics, and why, I’m not sure, but, Hispanics tend to be anti mask. Just look at the meat processing facilities.

Lots of Hispanic people here, too, because of the wine grapes and other crops. The only other demographic that is abundant here is old people. A lot of people retire here because it is cheap by California standards. One thing I could never figure out is there are virtually no Asians here. I mean literally, the only place I see Asians here is at the Chinese restaurant. And they all live in a big house behind the place. There are lots of Asians just about anywhere in the state, but not here.
