Not exactly the same thing, but a very similar vein.....my best friend's sister married into an Iranian-American family. They were Zoro-Astrians, owned a business....educated, successful people. After the revolution, when the Islamists took over, they lost virtually everything. Their business was physically taken from them. A Muslim walked in and told them it was HIS business now, they needed to GTFO. They spent most of their savings paying bribes to Muslim officials to allow them to flee, to get on the airplane and go.....


....and they came to America. They, too, fled persecution.

We need to learn from stories like the guy in Jeff's video, and my friend's in-laws. We need to learn, and actively fight against the same bullshit these folks fled FROM.

So far, this country is failing at that basic task. Half the country apparently supports this kind of shit. I just don't understand how we got here.

The pro-Socialists are akin to someone trying to sell land on the moon. They've never been there, have no idea what it takes to survive, don't know anyone who has been there, but will tell you how great it is.

I challenge the BEST of them to go live in Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba, Russia, etc. for a year. THEN they are qualified to tell me how great it is. Notice even Bernie Sanders went...but he came back.
