I’ve been looking at new ones too, mine is 14 years old with about 350 hours. Knock on wood, nothing major has broken but it is a matter of time. I’m looking at both the JD and the Cub Cadet

Gonna get the two switches to fix it and then sell it. If you want to fix it yourself, you can have it. Come and get it.

A new definition of the term...Wheel Stand??? certainly a bit different than what I used to do with Dad's old tractor...back in the mid 60's......

Might have to take you up on that. My current rider, cub cadet, like to slip belt on the deck when cutting. Doesnt happen every time. But enough were I am putting the belt back on every couple of mows.

You need to adjust the mower deck height so that the pulley on the deck and the pulley on the engine are closer to being the same level. Alternatively, your belt might have stretched over time, and a new one would fit more snugly. See if you can tighten up the belt. If you have a spring tensioner, maybe a new spring could help?

Still works great, but have to solve the seat/blade switch issue. If I can get it working on my own, I'll sell it for about $400. Last repair was $500, and that was 6 months ago. Again, it was time.
I had a JD for years for the place in NH. Mowing the lawn was relaxing experience.

It's very relaxing for me, my wife mows our yard!

She actually enjoys doing it, too

Somewhere in India, on an elephant drivers forum, people are looking at this picture and laughing at the dumbass Americans.

Check to make sure the sides of the belts aren't worn. If the side wear, it goes too deep in the pulley and loses grip and would be prone to being thrown.

You gonna bring your truck this weekend? I have wooden ramps that will allow us to push it right up.

Hard to believe that "lil'un" has built 2 cars and done 4 engine swaps, isn't it.

When mine throws the deck belt it means it’s time for a new belt
