Default Odd thing happened today (long)

I walked in to work this morning and sat down at my keyboard. I have no idea why I do this, but I have this odd habit of turning my wedding ring with my thumb before I start to type. Well I immediately realized my wedding ring was GONE. Mind you it cannot slip off. It is a bit tight. I retraced my footsteps out to my truck and back and no sign of it. I had this odd mental image of pulling it off and it not wanting to come off. Did I dream it or did my mind put this picture together? Where did this come from? It was odd because the dream or vision had no context around it. No dream of an argument, no hot dream chick, nothing. Just a mental picture of me taking it off.

I texted my wife and asked if she may have seen it somewhere. I called my house because my folks are staying with us and I asked my mother to look in our room. She pulled back the sheets and my ring was in our bed.

WTH? I don't sleepwalk, I don't even talk in my sleep. I stir or snore but no physical activity. It is freaking me out because I know how hard it is to get the ring off and I wondered how I succeeded without waking myself up. I am concerned that I am going to start doing more things and in my late years end up being one of those people that has to be locked in or strapped down or something. Really worrying.

Anything happen to anyone here like this? Doing something while completely out? I don't take any sleep aids and had no alcohol that night.

I can't say I've ever experienced anything like that. All my blackouts have involved alcohol.

Probably had a dream that you do not fully recall, where you intended to rmeove the ring...and your subconscious related it to your body..to remove the ring.

Ive had vivid dreams where i get out of bed, do my normal morning routine, get online...shower, get a glass of OJ...then wake up, and im in bed still...but I have a glass of OJ...and Im all alone...

I do sleepwalk though...

One night when I was still in HS...I got up, grabbed my tacklbox that was in my bedroom, and weighs about 40lbs mind you...and carried it to the bathroom where I turned on the lights, took a leak...turned around, picked it up....walked to the front door, put it down...then went back to bed.

The next morning...as I was trying ot figure all this out..I went to the bathroom, and as I went ot leave I had the urge to reach down for the tacklbox that was not there, and actually did reach for it involuntarily...

That would scare the crap out of me to know I did all that while dead asleep.

My wife stopped taking Ambien after she found three empty bags of microwave popcorn in the kitchen one morning.

During my last drunk blackout I cooked a frozen Pizza and ate it. I grated extra cheese for it and sliced some pepperoni to add to it, too. Turned off the oven, cleaned up the kitchen and everything. I don't remember a bit of it.

The night I graduated from high school some friends found me passed out on a lawn about half a block from the party I was at. The dragged me into their car and dumped me on the lawn in front of my house. I unlocked the door, unlocked the dead bolt, cancelled the alarm system, re-locked all the locks and re set the alarm and went to bed. I don't remember any of it. It was actually weeks before I found out how I got home.

It was weird last night. We went to bed and I woke up about 11:30pm to go tinkle. Fletch decided he needed to go too so I let him out and he peed and came back inside. Went back to bed and at 1:30am the smoke alarm goes beep,
beep, Beeeep, BEeeep, BEEP!!!! John never moves. So I move Fletcher, get up, take the smoke alarm down, look in the pantry for a 9volt bat-trey but there are none. There is aa, c, d, aaa, and a flat round one for the tv remote. Well maybe we won't catch on fire tonight. So Fletcher is standing there and runs to the door. I let him out and he pees again and comes back in. We go back to bed. John hasn't moved but he is breathing. He is usually a lite sleeper and I usually sleep through anything. So at 8:00am he wakes up. He lets Fletch out and comes back to ask me if I have seen TurboKittyLucy. I haven't seen her. She is always on the back porch in the mornings if she doesn't come inside at night. He said she was on the porch when he came to bed last night. So I tell him about my adventures and he doesn't believe me. Told me I must have been dreaming because he would have heard the beeping smoke alarm. So I put the old bat-trey in the smoke alarm and it starts beeping. We go outside to look for Lucy. He says well maybe the coyotes got her and we need to look for her fur. No signs of Lucy. We go back inside. About two hours later she comes out of the bedroom! John says she must have come in when I let Fletch out. So then we go to the store, got a few groceries. Guess what we forgot????!!!!!

I'll sleep walk when I'm absolutely drunk out of my mind, which is rare. I'm known to piss in interesting locations or wake up in interesting locations.
