This will be a very useful section and just in time for the winter mod season. It will give everyone a chance to look into the mind of a mad scientist.

I'll let Gary chime in on the specific products to use but I can say make sure everything you use is spec'd for SMC materials for working on body panels and urethand for the bumpers.

Also, after completing any body work, bake, bake, bake, and then bake some more. Then block sand it again, then bake it more. You get the picture. My targa roof was baked and blocked 2x, then allowed to sit in the sun for a day and re-blocked by the body shop. As a result I have no patterning i.e. seam showing.

If you look super close and know what to look for you can see a tinge of a pattern right in the center, but unless you know what to look at you'd never see anything.

My shaved quarter panels are holding up perfectly too.

My rear bumper shows a smidge of the rear letters, but I'll eventually just sand that all down and re-do it.

Below is the product list Mike gave me for SMC body work.

i used this for the filler....
http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=40

and used this to bond the filler plates on as well as a filler around the gap between the filler plate and door handle prior to using the smc filler over the plates...

http://partimages.genpt.com/largeimages/271455.jpg you can get both at NAPA paint stores....

also get some glaze for the final touch after the filler portion to finish things off.
http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=1

Primer i used, expensive, but works great... again NAPA paint store.

besides sand paper, and time this is should be your parts list.
