Reading recent threads, curiosity is killing me. What say the bachelors/bachelorettes of VBOT?

If you have been divorced for more than 5 years, what is so great about the single life?

FYI, if you're under 25, I most likely DGAF what you have to say.

Never married because I've always put myself and my life first.
I'm too selfish and need to accomplish specific things first before I have to add something else to my life that needs to be taken care of.

Too many skeletons in the closet that I couldn't put someone else through enters the equation also.

Love 'em and leave 'em has become my motto.

I had the same outlook until the last few years.......and now once again I share your opinion on the matter.

I have 5 weddings to attend this year, and I'm in two of them. A few are 1st timers, but several are on their second go-round. Like one beatdown wasn't enough? WTf, lol.

I'm 32 and have never been close to marriage. From 24-28, I dated a girl that was 8 years older than me. She had been married twice before. She was also ready to have a kid. I was fresh out of college, starting my career, just bought a house, etc... I wasn't ready to live that life.

I also really enjoy being able to do what I want when I want outside of work.

Also, 50+% of marriages end in divorce. Of the couples that stay together, I'd guess roughly 50% of them are in a happy marriage. I'm not a fan of those odds.

2 out of 3 friends of mine have settled.
Neither one seems happy.One of them said she's good for my financial future.

I'm the opposite. I have little if any "baggage" I bring to a relationship, so I have a hard time dealing with issues (debt, failed marriages, previous drug use, etc...) other people bring to the table.
