Hey NAV, whatever happened with...
The over spray debacle.
Or did you just paint everything the same color? |

Professional detailer. Neighbors reimbursed me 100%.
The overspray that hit the side of the house was minimal. Only noticeable if you stand right next to the wall and look for it. Most of it actually came off in the rain storms we had. But I was already repainting my house this summer, anyhow. (With an actual licensed, insured and bonded contractor.) Here’s the kicker: The paint is literally washing off their house already. The painters did absolutely no prep and used no primer. The extent of their prep was power washing the house. But that’s what you get when you hire a handyman crew. The funny thing is… I was repainting my deck myself right before they painted their house. I cleaned, scraped, sanded, cleaned again, primed. It took a long time, and they actually commented that it took a long time. It took me a good two months to get it done because I was also doing it in the evenings and weekends; around my work schedule. (The deck is three stories high, though.) Anyhow, as we were talking, I mentioned that it’s all in the prep work, and that I don’t want to be doing this again in a few years. I need this to last. They literally watched me prep this deck for weeks and weeks. Then they turn around and allow these jokers to tell them that washing the house was enough. |

Just like anything----the prep is the foundation that all the rest of the work relies on. Cutting corners never pays off. Ever.
