TMI 2 had the partial meltdown. TMI 1 operated until 2019 when it was shut down.

If I had to guess, I'd say there is still fuel in the Spent Fuel Pool that is producing decay heat that needs to be addressed via the cooling towers. Just a guess however I've no idea how far along the decommissioning is.

It's just over an hour from here. Always wondered why it appeared active when driving past it.

Out for my daily walk (5 degrees today, WC -15, Brrrr),
I walk past this gas station regularly.
Kind of like my avatar,. the car wash bays have been closed
since Habib has taken over. About 3 years now.
