Savannah is a VERY cool place to go.

Did you go to Bonaventure Cemetary?

Looks like some of the places where "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil" was filmed. I love that movie. The scenery is fantabulous.

No, I was going to...but they moved the 'Bird Girl' statue to a museum.

Have you been there ? If it's worth it...I will next time. I think it's about 15 min. or so from Sav. ?

I love Savannah man!! I've spen a lot of time there, and probably more than I should have on River St. Stay out of Wet Willies, and even if you think about going in there DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE drink the "Call A Cab's". Bad Ju Ju right there man. Great city though and as stated, the history is fantastic. I like Tybee, and the lighthouse is cool with a great view, but we went to Jekyll this past Labor Day.

I've watched that movie several times and enjoy it. I need to rent it again this w/e or buy the book...? Is the book or movie better ?

Forrest Gump was also partially filmed in Sav. the part where he is sitting on the bench talking. I'm not sure which park area it was filmed in though. Sav. has several of them in the historic district.

I've been to Savannah, back in 1988 or 1989. I didn't know anything about Bonaventure Cemetery, but I would have gone had I known about it.

Beautiful city. We've been a couple of times and have always had a wonderful time. It's supposed to be one of the most haunted cities in America.

Don't listen to him. The "Call A Cab" is great, and so is the "Attitude Adjustment". (I know from one too many personal experiences )

Nice pics BTW. I love Savannah.

One of the most picturesque cities in America for me. Reminds me of the Gone with the Wind era, tons of history.
I had one of the best dinners of my life at the
"Boar's Head Inn" years ago down by the waterfront.
