I agree. There are probably people on parole or probation that are not permitted to be around kids that still need shelter from the hurricane.

Not the same thing at all, but something tangentally similar, before and after Katrina, there were people who refused to evacuate because the shelters that had been set up wouldn't accept pets, and the people wouldn't leave their pets behind. Houston learned from that and when Harvey hit us, we had shelters for people AND pets.

South Carolina governor ordered mandatory evacuation for all coastal areas at Noon Monday. 830,000 people they say. Guess they're worried it'll wobble and come on shore.
