I work for a rapidly expanding heavy equipment dealership based in Florida. Our Savannah location needs a receptionist, several mechanics, a warehouse person and a parts person. In fact, last I checked there were 64 open positions company wide., and several of our more senior personnel will be retiring soon. If a service industry position strikes your fancy, PM me and I will provide the company information.

My wife works at the hospital in Sellersville PA. They have over 300 positions open ( everything from porters, food service to top execs )

We have been looking for a warehouse person for more than a year... Brandon brags about how many jobs are created each month but I wonder who is filling those positions... with the GA port here we can't even get any local temp service to send a body! I roll out of bed at 4:30 every weekday so my co-worker and I can check parts in before the 7AM opening time. 11 hour days are no picnic at my age.

After being forced to retire from my job because of covid on 4-1-2020, I went on job sites looking for something in my field, manufacturing.

This one, https://www.indeed.com/ finely bore fruit.
I make $50k as a QC tech and it is much less stressful than the VP positions held since closing my shop in 2012. This along with SS at 66 +4 mo. works out to be close to what I made before.

Just post a resume and let them send you jobs that you may qualify for.
Between Indeed and couple more like them, I was getting about 50 emails per day with jobs ranging all over the place.

I believe at FRA (66+) you can earn and the benefit is not reduced. Not sure if there is an income limit?

Don; find yourself an outdoor type job that is stress free...cabana boy at a senior center and your uniform is only a speed-0.

Marine wildlife groups are always looking for dependable and mentally stable people...coastal erosion groups.


Find some volunteer work during your search that may lead you to people, or a job opportunity.

If you never get sick, VA and Tricare are awesome. You save so much money.
But, BUT, if you have to get sick, go to ER....
Seriously, I have never had an issue with TRICARE or VA care, but I dont have allot of medical issues.
My heart surgery cost me 30 bucks, for ER co pay, but the lady gave me a 10% discount for being a Vet. 120/110, next day 28mm stent in 99% clocked LAD?
Total bill we tax payers were awarded, 220000 k.

If you are under full retirement age for the entire year, we deduct $1 from your benefit payments for every $2 you earn above the annual limit. For 2022, that limit is $19,560.

Your SS benefits will only be reduced if you begin taking the benefits before FRA (full retirement age).

If you are still earning money or have a pension, it may be wise to wait until FRA.
