Is this the clear glass urethane, sealant you were referring to?

Apply this under the mount plate to the firewall? Also around the areas the bolts attach into the firewall?

Thank you all for the input.

In an totally unrelated topic.

These fell off in the 1200 mile transit home. I know “what” they are but any guesses as to where they fell off under the car?

As any following know, the suspension we learned was only finger tight.

Dub finished off the wiper area. Looks 1000X better than pre restoration.

So hopefully any sealer is already applied to this area. Correct my thinking of wrong, but this area has open access, with not even a screen in place; on either end to the underneath of the car. So don’t think there will ever be any “standing” water in this area, even in a downpour.

Think about the water pressure driving 70 mph into a 20 mph driving rain. And why so many had their birdcage rot out.

I've never seen a top like that either.
I was thinking shim for a body part, door hinge, bumper bracket, etc...

They used shims for everything. But she said the front end was finger tight. I have seen front shims with one hole and one long gated hole and some that were both long gated so you could put them in without removing the bolt.

And with what she is dealing with they may not even be for that car.

I know.
I dont recognize that double slot/gate (for GM control arms).
Also; It looks to thin for an alignment shim...1/16 is about the thinest I've ever used.

The spacing for the slot/gate is too short to reach the other side.

However; I believe some body parts did use the double gate/slot that thin.
Some Mopars and Fords did use these type with the close slots as alignment shims, I cant remember seeing any that thin though.

But I could be wrong all together.

That's most likely a bumper shim. Thatnone has been used on both slots.

Probably to my car on these 4 parts as they fell off the car onto the trailer during transit.

Not door shims as those are all in and painted. I suspect suspension somewhere.

You’re probably right. Bumper are not in front or back but some of the hardware and mounting bracket are.

I think door or hood shim. See if it lines up with the bolt pattern of door hinges. I can't remember what body shims look like. Or hood shims. Just line it up with bolt pattern of all panels.

Just remember about 'sealing' areas. Not that the car will be in the rain. But, it will be washed.

There's also some shims for the rear trailing arms
