Might have started life as the vehicle in the second photo? Actually, no, grill is different.

Top is based off of a 1957 and bottom is a 1953 El Dorado.

I agree. Dumb-ass fad, like rat rods with saw blades and shovels welded to them to look 'tough'. Just cards- in the- spokes for grown men, is all.
