Default Couple of issues with my new Toyota Tacoma
I have had the truck a few months now, shade under 900 miles. Running fine.

Drivers Side Seat Wear: Completely unacceptable. The cloth material is already starting to unravel, basically where my ass is planted on the seat. Bolsters are ok, but Toyota must have really used cheap materials here. This should not be happening at under 1000 miles. It looks BAD, i'll upload a picture here in a few.

Dead Pedal: Dead pedal under the Parking Brake has come loose requiring reinstall 3 times now. The ears on the clips are all boogered up, so it really doesn't 'stay put'.


Should I Bitch about this? I ordered the Wet Okole seat covers, but I'm thinking I have a legitimate gripe about these seats. They will probably tell me to pound sand though...

Take it back to the dealer for both items.They should be covered 100% and if not call 1-800-331-4331 and open up a case.

I had a SR5 interior and a TRD interior on my 2 Tacoma's

Did not experience what you have there.

I put about 30K on each truck.

Thats pitiful...under 1K and falling apart.

The factory cloth bench in my 94 Sierra still looks better than that, at 208K miles...hell, the seats in my 97 Dually looked not much worse than that at 250K miles, many o which it was used for contractor work...

I called that number and reported the issues, I'll be taking it to the stealership this morning to have it looked at...

It does look like something a dog did, it's very localized. If it was just from the driver sitting on it, assuming the material was that inferior the wear would be evenly distributed on the ass/leg/back contact area. That is unless he has glass shards embedded in his belt or something.

Truck is at the dealership...

Service writer said the seat and dead pedal will be replaced. Having the oil changed, tires rotated, washed while I am at it. (Free)

Truck has 863 miles on it, doesn't really need it, but it's free so fine.
