Default What happened to PAINT?

I have trouble applying a protective cover on my phone, but this is nuts. I never heard of a "wrap" on a car. Lots of questions come to mind like how long does this last? Is it easy to fix? Getting all the air bubbles out.

wraps have been around for a long time, Nascar was using them 20 years ago.
No personal experience with them.
You should see what can be done with Plasti-Dip.

I'm curious about the condition of the paint after the wrap is removed.

Yup, wraps have been around for a long time. Taken care of they'll last many years. And, unlike paint, when you get tired of the wrap you just peel it off.

If the wrap is done right the paint holds up really well.

I had a clear bra attached to a new car about 20 yrs. ago. It has cracked, yellowed some, etc...just looks awful. Trying to remove it is a nightmare! I've tried heat, etc...just a total PITA. They now say...maybe I should have known, but didn't....you were suppose to wax it like paint over the years....and I didn't. Trying to remove it without damage to the original paint is a PITA now.
