Default some Christmas present-- prayer request for my wife please *12-22 surgery update*
Well, no real way to sugar coat this. Found out earlier this week my wife Mary tested positive for breast cancer.

About a month ago she found a small lump. Couple mammograms later plus an ultrasound confirmed. Specialist did a biopsy and we got the results which are positive for breast cancer.

Mary goes tomorrow for bloodwork and an EKG. Shortly she'll be have surgery to remove the lump and then depending on the results, it'll be radiation or chemo or both.

She's keeping a positive attitude and we're trying to keep busy ( no "idle minds" )

Please say a prayer for Mary and hope it's been caught early.

12-14 update
Mary is scheduled for a check of her lymph nodes in radiology then removal of the lump on wednesday Dec 21. I took off that day and the next day to be with her.

12-19-2011 update

Mary's surgery has been posponed. There is a problem with her EKG test results. She'll be seeing the cardiologist on wednesday.

12-22-2011 update
Mary had her surgery today to remove the lump. Mary is doing well and the surgeon was very happy with how things went.


She's sleeping now and will be off of work for a week.


The second EKG looked the same as the first and she was cleared for surgery.

Just a big wrench in the gears. You plan a long life together and all of a sudden, life gets in the way.

Hopefully it's early enough just to be a little inconvience. A false positive would be great too.
